Waltrip High School
Students at Waltrip High School researched the people behind the streets and buildings of Houston. They combined a written essay with a photo of the street building and a map identifying how to reach the location from the nearest major highway. In order to prepare for their essay, students learned new research skills, used MLA formatting and documenting, utilized the Internet for research, compiled a research paper, digitized and included a photo. For the geography section, students identified, located and labeled Houston landmarks and highways in the Houson area.
